The water shut-off valves
On the right is the house Shut-Off valve. This is the only valve you need to use in the winter.
To turn on water, first make sure fawcetts are closed inside (Two bathroom sinks+ showers, Kitchen Sink, and outside drain in the back)
Then remember" "Righty Tighty - Lefty Loosey", which means turn to the right (clockwise) to shut water OFF, turn to the left (counter clock wise) to turn water ON. The valve only turns 1/4 turn from full on to full off.
On the left, with the metal ring on top is the outside line shut-off. Leave it alone, this is only used for watering in the summer.
In the Center is the outdoor fawcet. No need to deal with this in the winter!
